Fouad Aleko reports that Syrian state security is closing in on the Kurdish activists abroad
Fouad Aleko, a member of the Political Committee of the Kurdish Yekiti Party in Syria revealed that in May, the Syrian State Security ordered that people whose names are on a list names of Kurdish activists abroad should not be given any identity documents or papers by the civil registry without the consent of State Security.
Fouad Aleko informed “Quds Press International News Agency” that the aim of these procedures is to put pressure on the Kurds to stop their political activities abroad, and he said: “We understand that families of people who are known to be active abroad who have applied for documents at the civil registry have been verbally informed about this decision, but have not been given it in writing. We see this as a direct response to these political activities, and a message to all those who engage in political work abroad that they are held accountable and will be harassed “.
