National Co-ordinating Body for Democratic Change in Syria

The Executive Office of the National Co-ordinating Body for Democratic Change in Syria has released an official report which can be accessed in Arabic here.

A national council is being organised by the National Co-ordinating Body for Democratic Change, and will be held in the second half of September. It will gather about three hundred people including those who are  independent, and others representing political parties, and other interested groups. It will be representative of  the political and cultural aspects of society and the regions, young people and social movements, and civil society organizations of the democratic opposition both at home and abroad.

The Executive Office will meet to prepare draft documents and a framework to ensure the success of the Council.

Mission:

The National Co-ordinating Body for Democratic Change in Syria has declared a Mission that includes the upholding of ,freedom and dignity, and the establishment of a national state of modern democracy in the best interests of the nation and people above all other interests, and to condemn any speech or conduct that would raise discord or disagreement or tension or hatred between the Syrians on the basis of religious or sectarian or ideological, racial, differences. It advocates non-violence and dealing with anoutstretched hand and open heart, to encourage by word and deed, to communicate and interact with a friendly and positive, peaceful and fraternal attitude with all the colors and spectra of the Syrian people, without exception. It rejects any foreign intervention would harm the interests of the nation and the sovereignty and unity of the country’s land and people.
