Kurdish human rights activist Abdul-Hafiz Abdul al-Rahman is released, in Syria

Abdul-Hafiz Abdul al-Rahman was released on Wednesday 1 September 2010 by the third individual military judge in Aleppo. Abdul Hafiz Abdul Rahman is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Human Rights Organization in Syria – MAF. He was questioned at the first session on 30 August 2010, and his case will be returned to court on 19 September 2010.

Human Rights Organization in Syria – MAF welcomes his release and calls for there to be a declaration of his innocence because he did not exceed the limits of law in his activities as a human rights activist.
