IranA 14-year old girl, Basoz Jabar Agha, was killed Sunday morning as a result of Iranian artillery bombardment of the border region between Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan, according to the officials of the Kurdistan Regional Government(KRG).

Rudaw reporter said that the Iranian forces shelled the Kurdish regions of Haji Omeran, Ibrahim Shilan between from 09:00 until 10:00 am Sunday.

The shelling comes after a Rudaw interview with a Peshmarga commander in which he warned that they may confront the fighters of the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan, known as PJAK, if they attack Iran and destabilize the Kurdistan region.

Another result has been the fleeing of 65 families from the villages of Zewga, Sarkhan, and Aliya Rash. These villages are now evacuated.

The Iranian government has said that its attacks are to eradicate the PJAK, an offshoot of Turkey’s Kurdish rebel group PKK, which is listed as a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union.
